Easy Board Security

Summary

The security policies established for Easy Board align with the policies and procedures we use daily for one of the biggest global healthcare brands through the course of our custom website services over the past 10+ years.

In short, we take data security very seriously.

Below is a summary of the security measures we have in place for all Easy Board instances.

File & Data Security

Your files are stored in a secure Amazon S3 server in the United States. All files are encrypted in transit and at rest. This is similar to how your bank website works. All external unauthorized requests to file storage are discarded and blocked by security controls.

All server policies and access roles are configured on the principle of least privilege. Even our own team has intentionally limited access.

Server Maintenance

All servers are kept up to date with the latest security patches and monitored with a Host Intrusion Detection System (HIDS) to actively detect and report suspicious activity. Our servers are configured for maximum security and are single-purposed for web content delivery only.

Compromise Procedures

If a server is compromised, it will be taken offline and restored from an uncompromised backup if available, otherwise it will be restored from original source. A full analysis of the site and server will be performed to determine the mechanism and scope of compromise, ensuring resolution.

Backups

Frequent backups ensure that data can be quickly restored in case of catastrophic disaster or other critical impact.

Passwords

The most important thing your board can do to help ensure the security of your files is to use a secure (unique) password for their account. Easy Board enforces a 10+ character requirement for all account passwords, which statistically improves the security of all user accounts. All passwords are salted and hashed, which means that no one is able to view user passwords, not even the Easy Board team.

Additional Security Measures

If file security is of significant concern, you may also wish to keep "magic links" turned off so that only fully logged-in users can view meetings, documents, etc.

2-Factor Authentication

For even more security, users may enable 2-Factor Authentication for their Easy Board account.
