Getting Started: Admin Guide
Welcome to the Easy Board family! We look forward to serving you well for many months and years to come. Below is a recommended process for getting your new Easy Board account set up.
Step 1: Board Setup
Add your logo, choose board theme color, add your mission/vision/values, set up board roles, etc. All at your preference. It's okay to leave some blank. Don’t forget to enable Magic Links if you’d like this convenient and very popular feature turned on!
Go to Admin > Setup (left side navigation)
Step 2: Groups
Works great for committees, a staff group, or other work groups. Simply add what comes to mind. You can always add more later.

Step 3: Custom User Profile Fields
Can be changed anytime but are best created (or at least started) before your board members join Easy Board. This helps you collect all the data fields you need right away.

Step 4: Meetings
Add your next upcoming meeting and your last most recent meeting. Simple is okay to start with. You can add more meetings later.

Step 5: Library
You can create any sections and folders you want here. We recommend starting out simple and adding more over time. The Library is great for bylaws, policies, your strategic plan, marketing and fundraising guides, key links to external resources, annual reports, etc. NOTE: Meeting docs will automatically be archived here going forward.

Step 6: Your Account Profile
Add or clean up any of your personal data, add a profile picture, etc. Click on the profile picture (or blank grey picture) in the upper right corner of Easy Board, then select "My Account & Profile" from the menu.
Step 7: Add People (last step!)
Click the ‘+ Person’ button in the upper right corner of the People page (left hand navigation). Fill out as much info as you desire. The user can fill in any missing info when their Easy Board invitation is accepted. To help board members get started faster, we typically recommend you pre-fill as much as possible.
If your board has 30+ users and you’re signed up for our Plus or Pro plan, we can assist with a one-time bulk user import if desired. Simply email us [email protected] or reply to your account representative with a spreadsheet containing user first name, last name, and email columns. We can coordinate from there.
